We are currently in the inception phase building the Hub and its services.

The Hub does not provide financing directly to businesses/projects.  It works with financial institutions and intermediaries to facilitate access to finance including by providing catalytic capital.

The Hub focuses on the Western Indian Ocean region, including Comoros, Kenya, Djibouti, Madagascar, Mauritius, Mozambique, Seychelles, Somalia, and Tanzania. It operates across countries and prioritises opportunities with strong investment potential.

The Hub focuses on concrete investment opportunities. We work with companies and projects that are operating, scaling, or preparing to access financing. Very early-stage startups are generally outside the scope of the Hub.

The Hub is open to companies, investors, and partners based outside the region, as long as their activities are in the Western Indian Ocean. This includes projects implemented in the region, partnerships with local actors, or investments targeting blue economy opportunities in the covered countries.

The BlueCapital Hub works with companies and projects in the blue economy to help them become investment-ready, structure opportunities, and connect with potential financiers. This includes linking relevant companies/projects with the Global Gateway Investment Hub for further support and financing.
